Weight Loss

  Weight Loss management has a variety of approaches such as exercise programs, and behavior modification techniques. Total body wellness is the process of maintaining a healthy body weight through a combination of diet, physical activity, lifestyle changes, and different options of medications. 

​  During your initial appointment with your medical provider, you will receive a personalized weight loss plan, prescriptions, and a body composition analysis.  Follow-up appointments typically occur every 2-4 weeks and include a visit with the medical provider, prescriptions, body composition analysis, and review of your current plan. We have several weight loss packages that we offer to all our clients that are 3, 6 or 12 month. All plans are unique to each client to help you reach your goals.

  We also offer a range of medications to help you reach your weight loss goals, including Phentermine*, Tenuate*, Lipo-B* (also known as skinny shots), LDN* (Low Dose Naltrexone), and GLP-1* medications (Ozempic, Wegovy).  In, addition to medications we suggest a range of lifestyle changes that will enhance your weight loss.

What Is GLP-1?

GLP-1  is a type of glucagon-like peptide-1 agonist, which is a class of medications that work by increasing the production of a hormone called GLP-1 in the body. GLP-1 is involved in regulating appetite, and can help reduce appetite and increase feelings of fullness, leading to weight loss.

  1. It has been shown to be effective in clinical trials. In studies, people who took GLP-1 lost significantly more weight than those who took a placebo.

  2. It can lead to weight loss even when used in combination with lifestyle modifications such as diet and exercise.

  3. It has a relatively low risk of side effects, especially compared to other weight loss medications.

  4. It can be used long-term, as it has been shown to be safe and effective for up to 3 years of continuous use.

  5. It can be used in combination with other medications, such as insulin, to help manage diabetes.

  6. It can help reduce the amount of food that people eat by decreasing appetite and increasing feelings of fullness

  7. It can improve insulin sensitivity, which can help with weight loss and management of diabetes.

  8. It can increase the metabolism, or the rate at which the body burns calories, which can also contribute to weight loss.​

 

It's important to note that GLP-1  is not a magic bullet for weight loss and should be used as part of a comprehensive weight loss program that includes diet, exercise, and lifestyle changes.
